10. Let the Nutter Butter bunny feet dry then Serve and Enjoy!
Tips for Perfect Bunny Feet
- Use High-Quality Melting Chocolate – For a smooth and even coating, opt for good-quality white and pink melting chocolate. Avoid regular white chocolate chips, as they can be harder to melt and may not coat as smoothly.
- Melt Chocolate in Intervals – Heat your chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring in between to prevent overheating and clumping. If it thickens too much, add a small amount of coconut oil or shortening to help it stay smooth.
- Tap Off Excess Chocolate – After dipping the Nutter Butters, gently tap your fork against the bowl to remove excess chocolate. This prevents thick, uneven coatings and helps them dry faster.
- Refrigerate for a Strong Hold – Once you’ve attached the cookies to create bunny feet, let them set in the fridge for at least 10 minutes. If they don’t hold together well, dip the connection point in melted chocolate again for reinforcement.
- Use a Piping Bag for Precision – A piping bag (or a sandwich bag with a tiny corner snipped off) makes it easier to control the pink chocolate and create cute, even paw prints.
- Let Them Fully Set Before Serving – Allow the decorated cookies to dry completely at room temperature or in the fridge before handling. This ensures the design stays intact and doesn’t smudge.
Get Creative!
- Try Different Colors – While pink is classic for bunny paws, you can switch it up with pastel blue, yellow, or even lavender for a fun twist!
- Experiment with Flavors – Use flavored melting chocolate, like strawberry or caramel, to give your bunny feet an extra layer of deliciousness.
- Add Some Sparkle – Sprinkle edible glitter, shimmer dust, or tiny sugar pearls on top while the chocolate is still wet for a magical touch.
- Use Different Cookies – If you don’t have Nutter Butters, try using Milano cookies, shortbread, or even homemade peanut butter cookies.
- Make a Bunny-Themed Platter – Serve your bunny feet alongside coconut “grass” (dyed green shredded coconut) and candy eggs for an adorable Easter dessert board.
- Turn Them Into a Cake Topper – Place your finished bunny feet on top of a cake or cupcakes for a festive Easter-themed treat!
- Package Them as Gifts – Wrap individual bunny feet in clear treat bags with a ribbon for a cute homemade Easter gift.
Serving & Storing
- How to Serve – These Nutter Butter Bunny Feet are perfect for Easter parties, springtime gatherings, or as a fun treat for kids. Arrange them on a platter with pastel-colored candies or place them in festive cupcake liners for an extra cute presentation.
- Storing for Later – Keep your decorated bunny feet in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week. If your kitchen is warm, store them in the fridge to prevent the chocolate from melting.
- Freezing for Longer Storage – Want to make them ahead of time? You can freeze these treats in a single layer on a baking sheet before transferring them to a freezer-safe container. They’ll last up to three months – just let them come to room temperature before serving.
- Avoid Humidity – Moisture can cause the chocolate to sweat or become sticky, so keep them in a cool, dry place for the best results.
These sweet bunny feet are easy to make and store, making them a perfect treat to enjoy throughout the Easter season!
